Rhys Williams is WA Labor’s Candidate for Mandurah.
For the past seven Rhys has served as Mandurah’s Mayor, and he has now put his hand up to represent Mandurah in the State Parliament.
Rhys is passionate about his community, having grown up and gone to school in the area. He lives locally with his wife Skipper, a primary school teacher.
Growing up, Rhys’ dad ran a small business and his mum worked in disability support. At 17, Rhys started a youth development charity and led a number of initiatives to help his peers – leading him to be recognised as Young West Australian of the Year in 2015.
In his time as Mayor, Rhys has worked with the Council and community to strengthen Mandurah’s neighbourhoods, deliver significant infrastructure upgrades, and support our business community.
